HSU Fong-RAY

Based in Taipei, HSU Fong-Ray focuses on the operational relationship between contemporary art institutions and cultural production. His curatorial practice often begins from a sense of discomfort toward institutional structures, approaching curating as a method of analysis and intervention. He frequently takes the existing conditions of a site as the point of departure. For HSU Fong-Ray, exhibitions are less neutral presentations than processes for testing and exposing structures—particularly those aspects that cannot be fully represented, or are even destined to fail.

He previously served as a board member of Taipei Contemporary Art Center, curator at TKG+, and manager of Tina Keng Gallery. He is currently the Artistic Director of TKG+ Projects, while also working as an independent curator, art institution consultant, and leading the art collective “Guerrilla Workstation.” His writings and reviews have appeared in publications and platforms including ARTouch, ARTCO Monthly, and Artist Magazine.
